Back in 1963, two entrepreneurial CPAs joined forces to create Mercadien.

One was the owner of his own CPA firm, the other a seasoned accountant and company controller with his own part-time tax business. With their deep involvement in the business community, they saw a need for audit, tax and business advisory services in the central New Jersey market, which had just started to boom.  The gap was there and they were determined to provide the solution.

More than a half century later, we’re proud to say that level of determination continues in everything we do. It’s led to our outstanding growth over the decades. As a multigenerational firm, longevity is one of our hallmarks. In fact, we’re still serving some of our legacy clients and their families today.
