For nearly fifty years, the New Jersey Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC), a governmental nonprofit funded primarily through the Small Business Administration (SBA), has been committed to providing the best comprehensive one-on-one consulting services, training programs & workshops, and resources for small businesses in New Jersey. With our network of 100+ staff and consultants, each bringing a wealth of extensive experience and expertise, we are well-equipped to assist entrepreneurs with a wide array of small business concerns, including company formation, business plans, buying and selling businesses, raising capital, financial and cash flow management, certifications, accounting, tax, marketing, sales, and more. Whether you’re just starting with an idea or you’re already up and running and looking to grow, the NJSBDC can support you at any stage of your small business journey.

Nearly all of our services are provided at no cost through funding from federal, state, and local grants, as well as other contributions from the private sector. The NJSBDC State Office is hosted at the Rutgers Business School in Newark, and we have 10 regional centers situated at public colleges and universities across the state, ensuring accessibility for all entrepreneurs in New Jersey.
