Ashfar, a family-owned business, was founded in 1975 as a vehicle to trade US yarns to South Asia, where Ashfar had textile interests. This became a thriving business. Over the years, however, world trade changed and Ashfar started to use their world-wide associations to start bringing yarn into the US. After a number of years of growth bringing yarn into the US, in 2000 Ashfar committed to a warping facility located on over 40 acres in Newton, NC, along with the massive number of beams necessary to run such an operation. In the last 20 years, Ashfar has expanded the plant capacity to its current level.

This growth, fueled by capital investment, exhibits Ashfar’s commitment to the US textile industry and willingness to commit further in the future.
