Welcome to St. James

The St. James Parish has been spiritually rooted in Woodbridge since the 1860s.  We are a culturally diverse group of people united in Jesus Christ through baptism and faithful to the word of God.We are a parish that encourages all members of our community to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are committed to do the will of God through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  We believe in and practice Christ’s compassionate concern for all.We strive to become a vibrant church that focuses on developing, maintaining and propagating the essential elements of parish life through evangelization, worship, service and stewardship.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Catholic Community of Saint James is to encourage and achieve full participation of all members of the church in various ministries including those for spiritual formation and education, evangelization, social concerns and family life.  This is accomplished by embracing the Gospel’s strong spiritual values through worship, prayer and outreach.  Through the commitment of clergy, staff and parishioners, we are involved in diverse ministries which aim to unite people of all ages and cultures including both individuals and families.  We extend Christ’s compassionate concern to the poor and all people of our local community.
